International students – general background

At École des Ponts ParisTech, around one third of students come from abroad. Forty-eight nationalities are represented within the School.

Masters programmes, specialist Masters programmes, PhD programmes

All Masters, specialist Masters and PhD programmes are open to international students who meet the admission criteria, whatever their parent institution. To find out about the conditions for admission to these programmes, refer to the specific instructions for each of them:

The engineering degree programme

A foreign student who wants to train as an engineer at École des Ponts ParisTech must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Be in the final year of a Bachelors degree in science at a European university: admission in the first year of the engineering programme, in the same way as students from French universities and by the same recruitment procedure. Find out more...

  • Be from an institution linked with École des Ponts ParisTech under a double-degree agreement : aadmission to the Masters programme on the terms specified in the agreement, with the aim of acquiring an École des Ponts ParisTech engineering degree alongside the degree from the parent institution.   • Be from an institution linked with École des Ponts ParisTech under a student exchange agreement : possibility of following one or two semesters of courses, without preparing for the École des Ponts ParisTech engineering degree. Find out more...
